A YouTuber that goes by Kelly Murphy recently uploaded a GoPro video of herself snowboarding. Filming yourself doing such a thing may not be odd, but what she captured in the background will certainly give you chills. She was getting ready to head down a mountain (complete with adorable singing) when she accidentally filmed a bear getting ready to attack. Her video description was: OMG! I was going through my snowboarding videos and I found a bear chasing me!!! I nearly got eaten!!! This was at Hakuba 47 in Japan, filmed yesterday! Be careful people!!! Annnnd this is what can happen out in nature. Many online are claiming the video is fake (which is entirely possible). Even if this video is the result of clever editing and CGI, news outlets are picking it up. “Kelly’s” YouTube channel only has three videos (and all are of this snowboarding adventure). Odds are, the video is fake. However, it looks real enough to be a reminder of one thing: nature is scary. If you’re out by yourself hiking, snowboarding, or looking for the Blair Witch, make sure to take your cell phone and self-defense tools! Read more: http://www.viralnova.com/snowboarding-bear-attack/
You may never see iconic American chef Julia Child the same way after watching this YouTube remix. PBS Digital Studios celebrated Child’s 100th birthday with a video montage that turns her cooking lessons into a stylized song a la T-Pain. Remixed by John D. Boswell, a.k.a. melodysheep, the remix shows Child giving autotuned instructions for prepping meals. The video, which is third in a series of PBS icons remixed, includes gems such as, “As long as the dough is relaxed, it’s ready to roll — ready to roll.” Child, who died in 2004, was a noted cookbook author and host of The French Chef on PBS. The public broadcaster previously remixed footage of art instructor Bob Ross, as well as children’s television show host Mister Rogers. Read more: http://mashable.com/2012/08/15/remix-julia-child/
We’d all love if there were less trash on our streets, but are we doing anything about it? Aside from throwing out our garbage when it’s convenient for us, that is… The answer is: probably not. But this anonymous vigilante took the law (and trash) into her own hands and returned it to the litterbugs who treat our roads like their personal, sprawling garbage cans. If you’re surprised by this woman’s actions, just wait until you see the looks on the faces of the people whose trash she returns via motorcycle. (Yeah, motorcycle.) Take a look at this environmentalist biker in action! The vigilante spotted the litterbug. They had no idea what was coming to them. BoredPanda Well, now they know. BoredPanda In your face! BoredPanda You just made a big mistake. BoredPanda I’ll bet they won’t do that again. BoredPanda For more of the Mother Earth-loving motorcyclist in action, check out the video below. (via BoredPanda) Way to go, anonymous vigilante environmentalist biker! If you’re going to use the world as a trash can, be prepared to get treated like human garbage. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘VN_PG_DTBT_ATF’); }); If there is one species that Earth’s oceans are abundant with, it’s jellyfish. Thanks to climate change and the general warming of the planet, our oceans are becoming a much more hospitable place for all sorts of jellyfish. However, there will always be those more mysterious and elusive sub-species. Consider the stygiomedusa gigantea. It is a species of giant jellyfish that is among the rarest in the world. Over the past 110 years, there have only been 115 sightings. According to those who have studied it, stygiomedusa gigantea is one of the largest invertebrate predators in the world. While its sightings have been rare, luckily a few of the recent ones have been by unmanned ROV vehicles, which allow us to get up close with these terrifying, majestic creatures. Well, this is going to give me nightmares for a year. Read more: http://www.viralnova.com/stygiomedusa-gigantea/
Ladies and gentlemen, if we could please have your attention, Cher has something important she’d like to share: She’s still got it. HMMMM…. Seems There’s MORE BUZZ,about the way I Looked,Than the way I Performed !!YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSIVE STILL GOT IT !!!!!! — Cher (@cher) June 19, 2013 The 67-year-old pop icon last night showed viewers and attendees of The Voice that age is but a number, flaunting her first appearance on the live stage in a decade. For the NBC show’s season four finale, Cher and an ensemble of back-up dancers performed “Woman’s World,” the first single from the star’s upcoming studio album, Closer to the Truth. In the clip (above), released Tuesday, Cher hits the stage with a faux-hawk and some badass punk garb, strutting and fist-pumping to the beat of the uplifting number, co-produced by DJ Paul Oakenfold and JD Walker. The performance was her first since NBC’s 2003 TV special, Cher: The Farewell Tour. The Voice finale also included performances from Christina Aguilera and Pitbull; Florida Georgia Line and Nelly (above); Bruno Mars; and past contestants to round out the evening. But the belle of the ball was Danielle Bradbery, who took the season four crown and closed the show with Sara Evans’ “Born to Fly” (finals rendition below). The 16-year-old went up against The Swon Brothers and Michelle Chamuel, who also vied for the title. Bradbery’s win notched a three-peat for her coach, Blake Shelton, who won in season two with Jermaine Paul and season three with Cassadee Pope. Did you catch last night’s show?
