This Horse Is “All About That Bass”

A horse is basically one of the most majestic and beautiful creatures to grace this planet. But even the most regal of humans or animals still want to cut loose every once in a while. That’s where Cheeky the horse comes in with a fun-loving dance set to “All About That Bass” by Meghan Trainor. Cheeky, the well-loved equine companion of a young woman named Emma jones, didn’t start out life as a fun-loving Internet sensation. As Emma explains, Cheeky is an ex racehorse originally from Ireland. He came to me in March 2013 where I started schooling him to become a riding horse. He’s a very talented boy, came 1st in his first dressage test and 2nd in his first “racehorse to riding horse” class which qualified us for the local championship. Cheeky has a massive heart and such a great character! He certainly lives up to his name! The video was taken on 20th September 2014, and within 5 days of being on Facebook reached over 14 million likes. We are overwhelmed with the response we have had, so we now have a page set up so I can share more of his funny moments for his fans to enjoy. Sadly, Cheeky passed away in 2015, leaving Emma heartbroken. She still continues to post to Cheeky’s fan page every so often, to celebrate and commemorate the friendship they had together and the horse that continues to entertain us. Whereas many “domesticated” animals are loving and loved, few are able to achieve the kind of “peer” status that horses and their people share with one another. Honoring The Work Of Good Samaritans In Today’s Look Through The Archives

Advertisement Sometimes all it takes is one nice act to turn your whole day around. The simple kindness of a stranger can mean the world to people who really need it. That is why today we are celebrating these good deeds by looking back on some of our favorite good Samaritans of the past few years. The term good Samaritan is defined as a person who gives gratuitously to someone in distress. It can be a small act that no one notices or a big gesture for someone who really needs it. The people featured here all stepped up when no one else would and today they are being honored for it.  Man Helps Old Lady Cross Busy Street – July 21, 2012  Usually a video filmed from a moving dashboard camera means something bad is about to happen, but not this time. This man was caught on tape getting out of his car to help an elderly woman cross the street. When the woman was trapped in a dangerous situation, no one stopped to help her out except for him. This is what being a good Samaritan is all about.  Advertisement Hero Turtle Rescues Upside-Down Turtle – June 11, 2011  Who says good Samaritans have to be human? This turtle saw one of his friends trapped in a precarious situation and knew what he had to do. While every person that walked past seemed to be content to let the little guy continue to struggle, a kind-hearted turtle decided it was up to him to step up and become a hero.  Kindness Boomerang – December 25, 2011  Advertisement Imagine a world where everyone was a good Samaritan. That’s the concept of this video produced by Life Vest Inside, a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of kindness, self-esteem, and individual potential. Even though there may not be a catchy reggae tune playing in the background, it doesn’t mean you can’t emulate the good deeds from this video in your own life. To be a good Samaritan you don’t have to be a super hero or be the next Gandhi, heck you can even be a turtle. The only qualification is to just, for one moment, find it in your heart to be empathetic towards someone else. The world needs good Samaritans. Now go out there and be what the world needs.  Do you have a favorite video from the past? Think Running On A Treadmill Is Torture? Turns Out, You Are Exactly Right

Love it or hate it, the invention of the treadmill has probably had some impact on your life. But whether it’s your go-to daily cardio workout or just gathering dust in your garage is totally up to you. Turns out, if you’re one of the people who hate treadmills you have a very valid reason, at least historically speaking. Long before any LA Fitness, treadmill technology was used as a torture device in English prisons. They used the energy created to power, among other things, mills. Hence the name treadmill. Whether or not today’s treadmills are still a form of torture can be a topic of debate. Read more: http://www.wimp.com/the-torturous-history-of-the-treadmill/

Teen With Autism Landed His Dream Job At Starbucks And Now Turns Every Shift Into A Dance Party

There might be over 20,000 almost-identical Starbucks stores around the world, but only one has this special barista working there. Known only by his first name, Sam, his unique work style is taking the Internet by storm thanks to this video.  Sam performs his barista duties in a slightly different manner than his colleagues because he is autistic and has a movement disorder, a condition that can commonly present itself along with an autism diagnosis. Simply put, this means Sam has a hard time staying still. Most employers wouldn’t even consider Sam as a candidate for handling hot drinks, but Chris, Sam’s manager at Starbucks, believed that he and Sam could work together to channel his movements into a more manageable form: dancing. With a lot of practice, Sam now leads the coffee shop dance party during every shift! This video was first posted online by Carly Fleischmann, in the hopes that people would see it and become more aware and accepting of people who might not function exactly like they do. Carly knows all about not being able to blend in and dealing with the ensuing judgment and stares. Diagnosed at the age of two with severe autism and an oral motor condition that prohibited speaking, no one expected her to ever progress very far intellectually. However, after years of  all kinds of therapy, Carly was able to speak through technology. Now, she’s published a book, with the help of her father, appeared on television and brought awareness to her story and the stories of others like her. That’s why she posted the video, explaining that her “birthday is in four days and [her] birthday wish this year is to have this video go viral.” So, guys, help her out and show everyone how awesome Sam is! Shaggy And Scooby Doo Work At Walmart

Have you ever wondered where your favorite classic cartoon characters would work if they existed in the modern world? I could see Popeye becoming a personal trainer at some place like Crossfit. There’s no doubt Josie and the Pussycats would be bumping artists like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift off the top of the charts. And what about Scooby Doo and Shaggy? They might work as chefs at the world’s best sandwich shop. Or, perhaps they’d start manufacturing the perfect Scooby Snack. Well, believe it or not, Scooby and Shaggy have actually been spotted working as cashiers at a Walmart of all places. Well … sort of. A Walmart cashier recently showed off his dynamite impression skills while checking out a customer in line. Instead of the usual boring transaction, this man rang up the customer’s items in character as Shaggy and Scooby Doo. As someone who grew up watching these beloved characters, it’s pretty exciting to hear those iconic voices again. In fact, his impression is so good, I would probably confuse it with the real thing if I shut my eyes! Scooby Doo has been around since 1969 and has been voiced by a number of different actors over the course of 47 years. Don Messick, Scott Innes, and Frank Welker, among others, have all lent their talents to bringing the loveably frightened dog to life. With his spot on impression and sense of humor, this cashier seems like a lock for the next voice of Scooby Doo. Don’t forget to SHARE this awesome impression with your friends! Dogs And Cats Prepare For Christmas

If you celebrate Christmas, you’re more than familiar with how Santa’s workshop operates. The elves work hard making toys all year long, while Santa oversees the entire operation. What you might not know, however, is that Santa calls in a few extra special, and extra furry, helpers every December for that last batch of Christmas goodies. We’ve already seen how great dogs are at decorating Christmas trees, so it’s no surprise that they’re just as skilled at helping Santa in his workshop. This holiday season, don’t forget to give your pets something nice. After all, they might be the ones making your presents next year, and you’d hate to end up on their “Naughty” list. Why Don’t Animals Have Green Fur?

Have you ever wondered why more animals don’t have green fur? It turns out green is a tough color to make in nature, but the reasons go beyond that. From our human perspective, having a green coat would help animals hide from predators, but when you see the world through an animal’s eyes things might just be a little different. This video will give you a brand new perspective on how our animal friends live and, maybe, make you look at frogs a bit differently.  Read more: http://www.wimp.com/why-dont-animals-have-green-fur/

A 60 Pound Pit Bull Named Roxy Changes A Familys Life Forever

You might think that a pit bull and child living with autism don’t have much in common, but that is not the case for Joey and Roxy. Joey was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome at the age of 7. As he grew older, his mother worried that he would never have anyone to connect with. When Joey became a teenager, he had trouble making friends in school, so he asked his mom for a dog.
