Fatherhood is hard. Well, I’ve never been a father myself, but ask any parent and they’ll tell you that raising a child takes a village … plus another village for good measure. Even though I’ve never been a father, I have been a baby, so I’m familiar with everything my mom and dad had to put up with when they raised me. Crying in the middle of the night. Crying in the middle of the day. Crying in the middle of meals. Basically, if there’s an opportunity to cry, a baby is going to cry. There are also plenty of moments when they’re not crying. A lot of the time, though, babies just kind of sit around and stare. When you’re home alone all day with a baby, this can get pretty boring. Unfortunately, there isn’t much else you can do besides watch the baby and make sure they don’t get into too much trouble. This might sound unexciting to the average parent, the dad in this video is not your average parent. While home alone with his newborn son Jack, Eric started sending his wife text messages using the “Dubsmash” app. Dubsmash, if you’re not familiar, allows you to lip-sync to famous songs and sound bytes. These can be anything from movie quotes to pop songs, and the results are often hilarious. In his first year, Jack and his father became Dubsmash pros. Check out the video below for a compilation of all their best Dubsmashes from 2015. Read more: http://www.wimp.com/creative-dad-eric-baby-dubsmash/

Television has come a long way since the 70s, but if there’s one thing that has stayed constant it’s the human interest piece. Shining the spotlight on an eccentric member of the community, the human interest piece can be the shining gem in a news anchor’s crown or the bane of their existence. In this clip, a news anchor does her best to hide her bewilderment for her subject, a man who says he can jump on eggs. When he finally decides to deliver on his promise, the results leave her less than impressed. We think the anchor was a little hard on him when she said “that’s it?” There’s plenty to celebrate here. Like his adorable jump. And what about the solid workout form he utilizes while checking the eggs? Combine that with the jumping and you’ve got yourself some cardio. Sadly egg jumping never really took off worldwide, but it brought this man joy, so that’s all the matters. Enjoy this oddball blast from the past. Read more: http://www.wimp.com/jumping-on-eggs/
What would you like to have happen to your body after you die? That might seem like a morbid question, but you’d be surprised by the variety of answers people have when asked. Many opt for a traditional burial, while others are content with the less expensive cremation. Or, if you wanted to get really creative, you could turn your ashes into a beautiful piece of art, a diamond ring, and even a tree! While I hope it’s a long time before this question becomes relevant to me, I think I’d like to donate my body to science when I pass away. It isn’t the most glamorous way to go, but the idea of people learning something from my body sounds pretty great. Which brings us to this video about what makes rattlesnakes’ rattles rattle (I bet you can’t say that three times fast). The rattlesnake whose tail is featured in this video didn’t know that its body would be used for educational purposes after it died, but here we are learning about one of nature’s most fearsome reptiles. Even though rattlesnakes seem like terrifying predators, blending in with their surroundings as they wait for the perfect moment to strike, they’re actually preyed upon by a number of different animals including hawks, weasels, and other snakes. Luckily, they’re equipped with a rattle on their tails that helps them fend off most predators. But what’s inside a rattlesnake’s rattle that gives it that distinct sound? Well, the father/son duo from YouTube channel “What’s Inside?” sought to answer that question when they ordered a rattle off the Internet and sliced it open. You’ll have to watch the video yourself to see what’s inside, but there’s one quote from the son that sums up the experience pretty well: “I don’t think it’s designed for people to cut them in half.” Please SHARE this fascinating video with your family and friends! When it comes to animals that sing, you probably think of birds. But, thanks to the clever use of editing software and autotune, YouTube user Insane Cherry has found a way to make dogs, cats, and roosters sing in perfect harmony. I’m not sure if it’s the fact that they’re covering such a serious song in such a silly way, but this video always cracks me up.
