Man jumps from 25,000 feet without parachute

On Saturday, July 30, Luke Aikins made history when he jumped out of a plane at 25,000 feet without a parachute. All that stood between him and the ground was a small net, leaving no room for error. And we thought skydiving couldn’t get any scarier. H/T: FOX Read more: http://www.wimp.com/man-jumps-from-25000-feet-without-parachute/

For 10 Years Everyone Thought He Was In A Coma. They Were Wrong

When Martin Pistorius of South Africa was just 12 years old, he was diagnosed with a neurodegenerative disease that left him in a vegetative state. Doctors said he was basically in a coma and they didn’t believe he was aware of the world around him. But just a few years afterwards, Martin’s mind began to wake up. Unfortunately, nobody around him realized that he was conscious. Thus, he remained trapped inside his own body for the next 12 years. In that time, he experienced many things that nobody should ever have to go through. Thankfully, a nurse finally noticed a spark of life in his eyes, and he then began his long journey on the road to recovery. Hearing him talk about his experience is enough to make you wonder how he could have possibly remained positive through all those years. Thousands Of People Trapped In 50-Lane Traffic Jam

The next time you’re sitting in a bad traffic jam, adding a few extra minutes to your commute, think of this recent jam in China and smile. At least you’re not stuck on a gridlocked 50-lane highway. This incident in Beijing was caused by a new checkpoint being added after a toll, which suddenly cut the 50 lanes down to just 20. Lock The Taskbar

The 1982 song “Rock The Casbah” is famous for being one of the most commonly misquoted songs of all-time. Some people hear “rock the cat box” or “rock the asphalt” or maybe even “rock the dance floor.” Well, now there’s another way to hear the famous punk anthem by The Clash. You’ll never be able to right-click and lock the taskbar again without singing. It’s a new modern punk anthem for computer nerds. Enjoy having this song stuck in your head for the rest of the day. Time For Bed!

Everyone has their own unique bedtime routine. When we were kids, our parents would tuck us in, read us a story, check for monsters under the bed, and say “goodnight.” But, as we got older, we started to develop our own way of doing things before bed. Maybe you still read, replacing the picture books with novels, or maybe you scroll through Facebook on your phone until you crash. Whatever you do, it’s nice to have something to help you wind down and let your body know it’s time for bed. The family in this video loves watching television before bed each night. In fact, it’s become such a set part of their routine, that even the family dog knows what to do when they turn off the TV. As soon as his owners power down whatever program they’re watching, this big dog hops up and leaves the room, presumably to settle down for the night himself. This is a great example of “Classical Conditioning,” as was demonstrated in the case of “Pavlov’s Dog.” For those of you who don’t remember, Pavlov’s Dog sought to prove how individuals could develop specific reactions to various stimuli. In his experiment, Ivan Pavlov rang a bell and then fed his dog. After a few repetitions of this, he found that his dog would begin salivating as soon as it heard the sound of the bell. So, his dog had come to associate the sound of the bell with being fed. While Pavlov’s dog was exhibiting similar behavior, we can only assume he wasn’t anywhere near as cute as the dog in this video! Don’t forget to SHARE this funny animal video with your friends!
