When you see signs in a state park saying “don’t feed the animals” they’re not trying to be mean. They’re trying to avoid teaching wild animals to depend humans for their dinner. When this rule of nature is broken all heck can break loose as one man discovered when he fed a stray cat on his back porch. One stray cat became two, two became three, and so forth until now they are legion. His chaos is our gain. Enjoy this adorable life lesson, be careful, or you might just have your own herd of cats.
