Who doesn’t love Ellen? She’s made a name for herself and her talk show by handing out gifts, pulling hilarious pranks, and just being a generally kind and funny person. She’s also well-known for her interviews, both of celebrities and just regular people who have fun and interesting stories to tell. Then, there’s this group of young kids that are more than happy to talk up a storm.

And what about Steve Harvey? He’s also a Wimp favorite for his hilarious roles as the host of both “Family Feud” and “Little Big Shots,” which he created and produces with his fellow interviewer in this video, Ellen. Although he made headlines recently for his verbal slip-up during the 2016 Miss Universe pageant, Harvey apologized and is committed to continuing his career in entertaining everyone. 

While they’re stellar on their own, it’s clear that they’re almost better together. If you ask Ellen and Steve why exactly clips like this one are so sidesplittingly hilarious, they’d agree it’s down to the kids. Steve explained that kids come out with such good quips “because they’re pure … and it makes for a lot of fun.” And where some might think that kids are limited since they’re still learning the ins and outs of speech and conversation, Steve sees the potential for funny straight talk. “The thing that makes the kids great for me is that they have a limited vocabulary, so I like the fact that they’re gonna [sic] say something pretty point-blank … Kids don’t have publicists, they don’t have a brand, … they’re just kids.”

And, as we see below, it looks like Steve’s got it right!
