Disney robot with incredibly fluid movement
Meet Jimmy. He’s a robot designed by engineers at Disney Research, Carnegie Mellon, and the Catholic University of America. His movement is based on hybrid hydrostatic transmissions from air-water actuators. If that sounds like a lot of confusing technical jargon, don’t worry. When you’ll see him in action, you’ll understand why they’re eager to show him off.
