For 10 Years Everyone Thought He Was In A Coma. They Were Wrong
When Martin Pistorius of South Africa was just 12 years old, he was diagnosed with a neurodegenerative disease that left him in a vegetative state. Doctors said he was basically in a coma and they didn’t believe he was aware of the world around him. But just a few years afterwards, Martin’s mind began to wake up. Unfortunately, nobody around him realized that he was conscious. Thus, he remained trapped inside his own body for the next 12 years.
In that time, he experienced many things that nobody should ever have to go through. Thankfully, a nurse finally noticed a spark of life in his eyes, and he then began his long journey on the road to recovery. Hearing him talk about his experience is enough to make you wonder how he could have possibly remained positive through all those years.
