Make Tarnished Silver Jewelry Look New Again With This Quick And Easy Trick

Jewelry can be a great way to express yourself and put a finishing touch on any outfit. But what happens when it gets tarnished and dingy? It just doesn’t seem to have the same effect. You could spend money on expensive jewelry cleaning devices or take it to a professional who will charge a pretty penny. Or you could just follow the advice of veteran cleaning expert Melissa Maker.

Since 2011, Maker has been hosting a series of videos that explain the nitty-gritty of keeping things clean called Clean My Space. Before she made the jump to YouTube, she was already chock-full of hands-on experience, gained as the owner of an upscale housekeeping service in Toronto of the same name. Her journey to housekeeping, though, was not the usual one. Before starting her business, she was actually working in commercial banking … not exactly related fields! 

Maker graduated from the Schulich School of Business in Toronto with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2005. She easily found a job in banking and worked there for exactly a year before resigning to start Clean My Space. While working as a busy banker, she noticed a gap in the market when searching desperately for a trustworthy and reliable cleaning company. Since starting her company, Maker “has amassed (too much) knowledge about cleaning products, tools and how to create homemade versions and save money. Clients, friends and family kept asking for Melissa’s tips and secrets now that she was a veritable cleaning wizard. Rather than repeating the tips over and over … she started up a YouTube channel.” Her angle certainly seems to be working, too; her channel has over 350,000 subscribers and an incredibly impressive 40 million views!
