Opera Plus Helium Equals Comedy
Christina Elizabeth is a musical theater actress and opera singer from Tulsa, Oklahoma with a sense of whimsy almost as big as her vocal range. While winding down, Elizabeth and her friends took advantage of a spare helium balloon to create this playful take on the opera genre.
Performing the song “Deh Vieni Non Tardar” from Le Nozze Di Figaro Elizabeth soars to new found heights of squeaky glory thanks to helpful pulls off the helium balloon. We may never get a full helium-inflected opera but, thanks to this video, we’ll at least know what we’re missing.
