Paying $1 To Fly Nowhere

While it might be a “stay-cation” and not a vacation, this onboard experience is an incredible memory for all those that take part (although, it might not top flying with this hilarious attendant). It’s also likely the only time in their lives these passengers will be on a plane. 

With estimates of people living in poverty in India range from 20 percent to a whopping half of the population, most people are more worried about survival than flying. According to India’s latest census, 75 percent of the 300 million households surveyed earn less than 5,000 Indian rupees a month. That’s a mere $78 a month. Although, that might be rich according to the standards set by the government; the official poverty line is set at living off approximately $1.20 a day.
