The World’s Longest Bike Is Truly A Sight To Behold
Members of the Mijl Van Mares Werkploeg, an organization of bicycle enthusiasts in the Netherlands, recently biked their way into the Guinness Book of World Records books when they built the world’s longest bicycle. Measuring in at 117 feet and 5 inches (35.79 meters), it was constructed using aluminum trusses similar to the ones used at concerts to support lighting rigs and other stage equipment. It requires two riders: one person in the back to do the pedaling and another up front to steer.
