If you’ve ever wanted to see what Paris looks like from the back of a bird (and really, who hasn’t?) then this is clearly the video for you. It will give you a (literal) bird’s eye view of the city. Watch as Victor, a white tailed eagle, takes off from the summit of the Eiffel Tower. He then glides before plunging down at 110 mph (180 km/h) to the Trocadero, onto the hand of one of his handlers. The whole POV (point of view) footage was captured on a Sony Action Cam Mini attached to the eagle’s back. (Source: FREEDOM) Now I know what the Hobbits felt like at the end of The Lord of the Rings. Amazing! Read more: http://viralnova.com/paris-eagle-pov/

A Boeing 767 can carry upwards of 375 passengers on any given flight. It’s a large, wide-bodied passenger plane that was invented for the sole purpose of carrying more people to their destinations quicker. But when this Boeing 767’s landing gear failed, the crew had to prepare for an emergency landing that’ll have you on the edge of your seat. Luckily, the 231 passengers were in the hands of a 30-year veteran pilot, Tadeusz Wrona. He expertly communicated the situation to air traffic controllers and flew the 767 to safety without injuring a single person aboard the plane. Watch the whole thing happen! (via Reddit) Everyone got off the plane unharmed and the touchdown seemed to be relatively smooth…as far as emergency landings go. I bet quite a few people on that plane were pretty apprehensive when they took their next flight. Read more: http://www.viralnova.com/emergency-plane-landing/

This Looks Like A Regular Bike, But It’s Actually One Of The Coolest Inventions Ever

The AHS Sikorsky Prize is awarded every year to the team that can build the biggest, baddest human-powered helicopter on the planet. And this year’s winner is absolutely stunning to watch. It may only be able to lift the operator 3.3 meters into the air for just over a minute, but its existence really is a feat of human engineering. The machine’s range of motion isn’t too extensive, but the size and scale of it make the viewing experience something you can’t miss. Participants in this competition always blow audiences away, but there’s something really special about this team’s creation. To see more of its record-breaking flight, check out AeroVelo’s Youtube channel. Read more: http://www.viralnova.com/human-powered-helicopter/
