A YouTuber that goes by Kelly Murphy recently uploaded a GoPro video of herself snowboarding. Filming yourself doing such a thing may not be odd, but what she captured in the background will certainly give you chills. She was getting ready to head down a mountain (complete with adorable singing) when she accidentally filmed a bear getting ready to attack. Her video description was: OMG! I was going through my snowboarding videos and I found a bear chasing me!!! I nearly got eaten!!! This was at Hakuba 47 in Japan, filmed yesterday! Be careful people!!! Annnnd this is what can happen out in nature. Many online are claiming the video is fake (which is entirely possible). Even if this video is the result of clever editing and CGI, news outlets are picking it up. “Kelly’s” YouTube channel only has three videos (and all are of this snowboarding adventure). A Boeing 767 can carry upwards of 375 passengers on any given flight. It’s a large, wide-bodied passenger plane that was invented for the sole purpose of carrying more people to their destinations quicker. But when this Boeing 767’s landing gear failed, the crew had to prepare for an emergency landing that’ll have you on the edge of your seat. Luckily, the 231 passengers were in the hands of a 30-year veteran pilot, Tadeusz Wrona. He expertly communicated the situation to air traffic controllers and flew the 767 to safety without injuring a single person aboard the plane. Watch the whole thing happen! Lions, tigers, and…best friends, oh my! Cameron the lion and Zabu the white tiger first met at a roadside zoo in New England in the early 2000s. Thankfully, the pair was rescued in 2004 by Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida. Now, they spend their days being BFFs at the rescue (to the delight of both staff and visitors). The rescue saw how the two cats had bonded and knew they had to be kept together. To make sure both the cats and the caretakers were safe, the rescue spayed Zabu and neutered Cameron. This caused Cameron to lose his mane…but given the hot Florida weather, he probably didn’t mind. It’s important to remember that both of them are big cats… But it’s so fun to see them play with their favorite toys, sunbathe, groom each other, and be silly. Zabu the tiger even acts kittenish, according to Big Cat Rescue. “While Cameron tries to sleep most of the day away (as lions do in the wild), Zabu is extremely energetic and is always pestering him to play.” It’s easy to see why these unlikely friends love each other. I wish this was the last time I had to cover a puppy mill rescue, but I know it won’t be. Despite the widespread knowledge of the cruelty animals experience in puppy mills, the ASPCA still estimates that there are as many as 10,000 of these establishments all over the U.S. People who purchase animals from pet stores are all but handing their money over to unlicensed, horrible puppy mills.
