Dogs usually love beef jerky, but this is not beef jerky. When presented with low-fat lamb jerky, this five-month-old Labrador Retriever not only expresses his displeasure, but we’re detecting a bit of fear. In the video’s YouTube description, his owner says, “This is strange and yet hilarious, because this is a dog who will eat anything and pretty much everything.” But he wants to make it clear that this YouTube video isn’t showing him abusing the young dog: “I will have you know that this in no way counts as abuse. Once I finished filming, he went back to playing with his toys. He is a much loved and much spoiled pup. :)” But just look at the sad expression on the dog’s face. Sure, a lot of that is the natural folds of the breed’s skin, but from someone who has had undesired foods pushed into his face too many times, I have to feel sorry for the little guy. If there are any doubts that McKayla Maroney —the Olympic gymnast whose scowl spawned an Internet meme — is a good sport, she laid them to rest Thursday night with a visit to The Colbert Report. Maroney was presented as one of five new interns for Colbert — the other four being the rest of the gold-winning gymnastics team, Jordyn Wieber, Gabrielle Douglas, Alexandra Raisman and Kyla Ross. The five, who just returned from “some study abroad thing in London,” used their considerable athletic talents to deliver a pen to Colbert. During the April 11 episode of Community, NBC is throwing a GIFathon, where viewers are encouraged to create and post GIFs on Tumblr using hashtag #Greendale GIFs. The best GIFs posted between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. ET will win prizes, NBC exclusively told Mashable. NBC is trying to harness its viewers who are active on Tumblr to bolster live viewing of the “Intro to Felt Surrogacy” episode. “Intro to Felt Surrogacy” features the cast as puppets and guest Sara Bareilles, so NBC is looking for for puppet-related GIFs. NBC describes the episode as such: The study group takes a wild balloon ride that crash lands in the woods and they end up spending some quality time together with a friendly mountain man (Jason Alexander of Seinfeld). GIFathon prizes include a signed script, season 3 DVD, puppet T-shirt, posters, stuffed “Being Human” mascot, Greendale white robe, duffle bag, Day Break CD, cast photo and mugs.
