It seemed gloomy outside when this man got into his car one day, but then again, every day is pretty gloomy when you live in Russia. When the wind started picking up, however, he realized that a tornado was about to touch down in Bashkiria. Maybe leaving the house wasn’t such a great idea. On Monday, May 26, 2014, a rare EF-2 tornado ripped through Watford City, North Dakota. Peak winds of 120mph were reported by the National Weather Service and the tornado was estimated to be 100 yards wide, with a path of a half-a-mile long. Luckily, oil workers stationed just south of the city managed to capture the most amazing tornado footage I’ve ever seen. You seriously need to check this out. I can’t believe those guys survived!
