A Moped With An Unusual Sound System

Mopeds, otherwise known as motorcycle’s younger siblings, are an easy and fuel-efficient way to get around town. The term originally described motorcycle/bicycle hybrids, but now means scooters with less speed and license requirements than motorcycles. Unlike the deep, intimidating roar of a Harley’s engine, mopeds make a distinctly higher whirring sound when revved up. When a moped is driving at full speed, it makes a noise that sounds like the world’s largest mosquito buzzing past your ear. 

When the gentleman in this video purchased his moped, he was probably disappointed to discover that it didn’t make the distinct sound that others do. Not content with a silent ride, this guy got one of his friends to help make sure he had the loudest ride on the block.
