He Explained What Snow Was To This Little Girl, And Her Reaction Is Hysterical

, , , , , , , , , , , ,

Even as toddlers, we learn so much about the intricacies of this planet. Gravity sucks, food is good, and things can disappear and reappear through the magic incantation of “peek-a-boo!” But when one little girl was told by her dad that snow comes from the sky…well, it was just too absurd for her to handle! “Daddy is funny!” she said, disparaging her father as the Catholic Church once did Galileo. Even Mom seemed to find the notion daffy, and she quickly joined in on the giggling. Now that I’m thinking about it, she might have a point. You’re telling me that clouds create billions of dandruff-like flakes out of ice, and each flake is completely unique? That sounds like a dumb idea, even for Dad! At the Humane Society of Missouri, a unique and incredible experiment is underway. Called the Shelter Buddies Reading Program, the project’s goal is to help antisocial and hyperactive dogs develop the social skills they need to get adopted. By enlisting the help of young children who love reading, the Humane Society hopes that these sessions will help animals come out of their shells. When you see how the pups respond, you’ll realize that this program is a home run. The method shown here helps dogs learn to come to the front of their cages when potential adopters walk by. If they meet people and interact, they’re far more likely to find forever homes. It’s ingenuity like this that has the potential to help thousands of animals in need. So when Mom and Dad flew for 17 hours to surprise the girls’ grandmother with the two little tykes, you can understand why this is her reaction! For a while, I thought she wasn’t going to let go of those little ones. She just wants to hold and hug them forever. Eventually, grandpa gets a chance though! Congrats to the happy family. A Man Rang This Little Girl’s Doorbell And Asked To Marry Her, But Wait Until You See The End

How old is old enough to get married? In Mali, West Africa, child marriage is an epidemic. As many as 82 girls under the age of 15 are married every day. The Danish organization BØRNEfonden, also known as the Children & Youth Foundation, works to raise awareness and funds for those in danger of child marriage. To date, they’ve sponsored 14,000 children in Mali, providing them with education, healthcare, and developmental opportunities. Recently, they wanted to see how parents in Denmark would react to a 30-year-old asking to marry their 13-year-old daughter. The idea was that if they thought about their own child being married, they would be inspired to support the organization in its quest to help young girls. Watch as a 30-year-old actor asks several fathers for permission to marry their 13-year-old daughters. It’s safe to say that these families will never think about child marriage the same way again. Read More: Child Marriage Seems Like A Foreign Idea, But It Happens Right Here In The U.S. This video makes me cringe, but it sends an important message that everyone should hear.
