You can do anything with emojis. Revisit your favorite TV shows or condense great works of literature. Like hashtags and GIFs, emoji is a language unto itself. But we’ve noticed this language is lacking some key phrases and ideas. The emoji library is vast, but it still has a way to go. There’s no emoji for hot dogs yet? Get on it! You know what? We’re tired of waiting. Mashable decided to create emojis to fill the gaps. After all, you’d be surprised how often we bring up robots in daily conversation. What new emojis would you want to see? A softball-size eyeball washed ashore on Pompano Beach, Fla. this week and it has experts perplexed. Is a colossal squid lurking in the ocean’s depths with an eye patch or did a whale’s Halloween gag go too far? No one knows for certain, but the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has fielded plenty of odd guesses since sharing the photo on its Facebook page. The whopper peeper is currently chilling on ice as it awaits shipment to the the Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Institute in St. Petersburg, where it will be analyzed and, hopefully, identified. While we wait for marine biologists to do their thing, we can’t help but hope that monstrous orb evolves into a eye-themed meme of Steve Buscemi proportions. One painter’s watercolor works brings out the wonders of space in the safety of her studio. Connecticut-based artist Stella Maria Baer’s dreamy planet paintings have earned her more than 100,000 followers on Instagram. Her neat, but detailed watercolors capture the moon’s rough texture, Mars’ soft oranges and maroons and Saturn’s wide rings.
