googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘VN_PG_DTBT_ATF’); }); As the saying goes,”curiosity killed the cat,” but luckily for this feline, help was on the way. Cats in general can be quite curious creatures. Can you blame them for wanting to explore and discover new things? For this cat, though, curiosity had gotten the better of him. Our furry friend became deprived of oxygen after getting his head stuck in a small glass jar. Fortunately, two men happened to be walking by and quickly discovered the feline in need. They left to retrieve some supplies. In a matter of seconds, they were able to safely free the cat from his glass chamber. There’s nothing worse than feeling like you can’t breathe. Check out the rescue of this claustrophobic cat! Thank goodness these quick-acting men were passing by at just the right time. They’re heroes in my book. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘VN_PG_DTAT_ATF’); }); I’m just going to warn you that what you’re about to see is going to leave you feeling pretty stunned. Why? Because it’s the cutest thing that’s ever happened. Although the footage begins with a man preparing some not-so-appetizing meals in his kitchen, it’s the culmination that counts, people. Whenever he goes outside with buckets in toe, he brings a little more preciousness into this world. That’s what we all need right now, isn’t it? The activist works for an organization called the Orphan Bear Rehabilitation Center in Russia, and something tells me that his job is a rewarding one. I’m pretty sure this is what happiness looks like. Trying to catch a bird of prey is hard enough as it is, let alone when they are all panicked due to being stuck in a very large warehouse. Simon and Sean from the Wildlife Aid Foundation spent a couple of hours chasing a Sparrowhawk around a warehouse. Having dealt with similar situations before, Simon knew what he had to do. He attempted to corner the frightened bird so that Sean, who was waiting in a very precarious position, could capture it. Eventually the pair managed to capture the small bird of prey and set it free, but it was no easy task. (Source: Wildlife Aid) Forget about “needle in a haystack”, the new term should be “Sparrowhawk in a warehouse.” Read more: http://viralnova.com/sparrowhawk-rescue/

It’s not uncommon for a police station to have K9 teams where professionally trained pups serve on the force…but what if the ‘K’ stood for kangaroo? Well, that’s exactly the case at the Cue Police Station in Western Australia. When a car struck a mother kangaroo, killing her, she was carrying her baby boy in her pouch. Luckily, he survived. Since then, the little joey has found a temporary home with Constable Scott Mason. Just watch how strong their bond is after just a few days together… According to reports, Cuejo will stay with Mason until he’s able to be safely reared and softly released back into the wild. Just one question remains…where can we get our own baby kangaroo that wants to follow us around? Read more: http://www.viralnova.com/rescued-kangaroo/

googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘VN_PG_DTAT_ATF’); }); Crows have a bit of a bum rap. Poets have famously demonized them, they wake us up at the crack of dawn after sleepless nights, and they’re tied to some seriously bizarre history. That being said, when crows are in need, we have to remember that they’re living beings just like us. While struggling to stay afloat, one unlucky crow was saved by an unlikely hero: a brown bear. Fortunately for the bird, its big protector wasn’t in the mood for wings that day. This video proves that in times of trouble, anyone can become a hero. When a stray cat got his head stuck between the bars of an iron fence, the Los Angeles Animal Services Specialized Mobile Animal Rescue Team, otherwise known as SMART, was called out to rescue the feline in distress. The stray, nicknamed Midnight by neighbors, was known to regularly go in and out of the bottom of the fence. But one day, after being cruelly shot twice with a BB gun, the poor kitty got scared and ran through the wrong hole. After trying to gently push his head back through the bars, the rescue team enlisted the help of a vet technician who sedated Midnight as the team successfully freed him from the gate. After his dramatic rescue, Midnight was taken to an animal shelter to be cared for, and I’m very happy to report that the little guy was adopted soon after by a loving family. This family was walking home when, suddenly, they stumbled across a lump in the snow.
