Rambro (also known as the Angry Ram) didn’t deserve to be left out of Halloween festivities this week. To include the angry guy in the holiday, Rambro’s owner took a pumpkin and stuffed it full of tasty sheep nuts. The outcome was pretty much a Halloween themed piñata for grumpy old Rambro. We could call it a pumpkiñata! (Source: Buddhanz1) This looked like oodles of fun. I loved it when the pumpkin fell after the slow-mo butt tap, rather than the 40 juggernaut-style head smashes. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘VN_PG_DTBT_ATF’); }); Hero is normally a very quiet dog, so when he started whining incessantly one day, his owner knew something was very wrong. Four-year-old Sadie has type one diabetes and Down syndrome, which makes it quite difficult for her parents to monitor the little girl’s blood sugar levels. That’s where Hero comes in. The service dog has been specially trained to detect decreases in blood sugar. While many dogs have been trained to help diabetics in the same way, what Hero did one day is almost beyond comprehension. Little Sadie was at school five miles away from her home when Hero suddenly started whining to no end. Knowing something was wrong, her mom decided to call the school and ask them to check Sadie’s blood sugar. Everything looked fine at first, but within a half hour, it had dropped from 122 to 82. Hero somehow sensed what was wrong from miles away! Hero thoroughly deserves his name. If Sadie’s blood sugar had dropped any lower, she could have slipped into a diabetic coma. Service animals are so incredible at what they do, and their dedication is absolutely unmatched. Read more: http://www.viralnova.com/blood-sugar-dog/

Simon from the Wildlife Aid Foundation received a call about a cygnet (young swan) that found itself in a terrible predicament by getting stuck in a fence. Once near the stuck little swan, Simon had to face an angry cob (male swan) that wouldn’t let anybody near his poor baby. As he attempted to get the baby swan free, the cob kept on swiping at him with its powerful wings. Simon wouldn’t let it faze him and kindly told the angry male swan “don’t be silly” and to “stop it”. Which is just the most adorably English thing I’ve ever heard. I was half expecting him to offer the swan a cup of tea, too. (Source: Wildlife Aid) Seeing that beautiful family swim off at the end was totally worth the few bruises Simon may have received from that cob. Read more: http://viralnova.com/baby-swan-rescue/
Integrating cows into the herd is usually a pretty straightforward task — rather unexciting, even. The animals meet and get along instantly because cows love meeting new friends. So when Panda (the black-and-white bovine in the below video) and Jazzy (the smaller brown one) were let loose to introduce themselves to a herd of cows, their owner didn’t think much would happen. But boy, was she wrong! Who knew cows could be this happy, let alone run that fast! YouTube Rescuing farmed animals from potential slaughter, Animal Place provides cows and other creatures with a sanctuary where they can always live free. Which in the case of these happy-go-lucky guys, seems like a pretty great reason to celebrate! Read more: http://www.viralnova.com/meeting-cows/
This is the battle of “AHH!” vs “Aww.” Watch as this adorable kitten takes on a not-so-adorable spider. (Don’t worry, it’s not a real spider.) It’s one of those huge remote controlled toy spiders that are so popular around Halloween. Who will win: the kitten or the spider? (Source: The Wampa Kitty) It’s not often that I verbally say “aww” while watching a video with spiders in it. I couldn’t help myself during this video. It was just too darn adorable. When Woody’s owner died, the family sold the house and left poor Woody behind to fend for himself. For a year, he waited under a nearby shed hoping his owner would return, kept alive by the food and water that neighbours left for him while they searched for someone to help save him. Eventually, dog rescuer Eldad Hagar and his organization, “Hope For Paws” heard about Woody and came to his aid. They rescued him and gave him the feeling of love for the first time in a very long time. That poor little guy; dogs are so loyal to their owners. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘VN_PG_DTAT_ATF’); }); Matt McDougall is a Canadian duck farmer who films the exploits of his group of waterfowl friends for his YouTube channel, 50 Ducks In A Hot Tub. As you might expect, McDougall is very attached to all of his birds. But one duck in particular, Mrs. Gimp, has become both his and his viewers’ favorite due to her friendly personality. One day, McDougall got a huge shock when he spotted what he feared was a dead duck floating in the bathtub the ducks like to play around in. He ran outside to find that it was Mrs. Gimp. He quickly realized she was suffering from hypothermia so he rushed her inside. There he repeatedly submerged her in tubs of warm water to get her body temperature back to normal… It’s wonderful to see people really go the extra mile for an animal in need. Bravo to this wonderful man and the dedication he put into reviving his feathery friend. Read more: http://www.viralnova.com/duck-hypothermia/
Of all the bizarre get-rich-quick schemes floating around out there, this one is probably the weirdest. And that’s because it has to do with selling vomit. While strolling on the beach in Lancashire, England, recently, one lucky guy by the name of Ken Wilman stumbled across what he thought was a large stone. Much to his surprise, however, it was actually a chunk of whale puke. Take a look at this video to learn about why someone just offered the man £50,000 for it. You never know when a big pile of money is going to fall into your lap. Let’s just hope that if it happens to you, it won’t come in the form of solidified vomit. Because of my extreme fear, let’s just say I’ve been more than a little paranoid when it comes to any body of water. Unfortunately, the following footage really doesn’t do much to help me get past this phobia. When a couple was having a private swim in Kariba, Zimbabwe, one nasty visitor headed straight into the pool and proceeded to attack them. I’d probably never get in a pool again if I were her.
